Is It Healing or Are the Algorithms Broken?
Something weird is happening and I need to know if you’re feeling it too.
Lately, I’ll open TikTok or YouTube, expecting that familiar dopamine hit, that little spark of “oh THIS is good!” but nothing lands. The content that used to pull me in, fascinate me, feed my curiosity… just falls flat. Not even the old binge-worthy rabbit holes satisfy anymore.
At first, I thought it was just the algorithm. Maybe TikTok and YouTube are off their game. Maybe the feeds are stale. But then I realized no, it’s me.
It might just be that I’ve healed so much that the old hunger, the need to fix or distract, isn’t there anymore. What used to scratch an itch… no longer itches.
But here’s the catch it’s not just a lack of interest. It actually feels like consuming too much content drains me now. Like an energetic hangover. My body’s louder about it than ever:
“This isn’t nourishing anymore. Turn it off.”
So here I am, facing the same screen that used to entertain, teach, distract, comfort… but instead I’m being invited to sit in my own energy. To go within for stimulation, for nourishment, for expansion.
I can’t help but wonder is this just me? Is this a unique stage of the healing journey?
Or… is this collective? Are we all outgrowing the noise, the scroll, the endless feed of “fix yourself” content?
If you’re feeling this too let me know. Because maybe it’s not the algorithms that are broken.
Maybe it’s us finally breaking free.
